Shook shoppers fled Aeon Mall in Kumamoto, Japan on Tuesday, July 28 after a 7.1-magnitutde earthquake hit the region. An hour after the quake struck, a huge explosion was heard inside the mall.

The powerful earthquake struck southwestern Japan on Tuesday and killed at least 18 people. Many residents were reminded of the earthquake that occurred there 10 years ago that killed 50 people.
