A remand prisoner allegedly attempted to end his life by slashing his throat with a vegetable-cutting knife inside the kitchen of the Repalle Sub-Jail on Wednesday.The prisoner, V. Srinivasa Rao, was arrested on July 5 in connection with the murder of an elderly woman and was subsequently remanded in judicial custody.
