Hopes fade for 22 missing crew of sunken Panama-flagged bulk carrier MV Ocean Winner in Bay of Bengal

Despite days-long search operations in the Bay of Bengal, neither the debris of the ill-fated vessel MV Ocean Winner nor any of its 22 missing crew members could be traced, an Indian Coast Guard (ICG) spokesperson said on August 24

Sonowal said in a post on X that the rescued survivors are being given medical care and their rank and identity is being verified.

The two rescued Chinese seafarers said the vessel developed a list on Friday and sank within eight minutes, forcing crew to abandon ship, the director general of India's Maritime Administration said.
