Flashing-light kites disrupt 21 flights at Vietnam's busiest airport Tan Son Nhat

Several flights were unable to take off or land at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City on Thursday evening after three kites fitted with flashing lights were spotted in the sky.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will close the airspace above Reagan National Airport (DCA) from 10:15am EST to 1:15pm EST on August 23 in order to "help ensure the safe and efficient movement of air traffic” during the IndyCar race in Washington D.C. later this month. This is not an unusual move from the FAA

Shortly before noon, a Ben-Gurion Airport control room employee detected a drone in their airspace and activated security protocols. Airport police were tasked with locating the drone's operator.
