The attack comes after a two-wave drone strike on a shopping mall in Zelenskyy's home town mall killed 16 people.

"Attacks like these are nothing less than terrorist acts," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

At least 15 people were killed and scores wounded in the attack, Ukrainian authorities say.

Twenty-two children were among the wounded in the daytime attack on President Volodymyr Zelenskiy's hometown, regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha said on the Telegram messaging app.

In an update on Saturday morning, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that nine people remain missing following the attack. Search and rescue operations are ongoing.
