Iran's foreign minister reportedly said his country is not engaging in talks with the U.S., but added: "Messages are being exchanged through intermediaries."

The group's military spokesman Yahya Saree said the Houthis had "succeeded in targeting the Aramco refinery in Jazan with a drone, and the strike was precise".

The Saudi energy ministry said a fire had broken out at the refinery that was later extinguished, without saying what caused the fire.

Earlier, the Saudi Arabian Energy Ministry said that firefighters extinguished a fire that broke out early at a facility at Aramco's Jazan refinery in southwestern Saudi Arabia.

An explosion and fire were reported at an industrial facility in the Saudi Arabia's eastern region.

Aramco previously shut down the refinery on July 27 following another Houthi attack.

Fire broke out at Saudi Aramco’s Jazan oil refinery early Sunday, and the blaze has been extinguished, the country’s energy ministry said.
