World War Two memorial in Washington vandalized with bubbles and graffiti

Aug 13 - The World War Two memorial in Washington was vandalized with bubbly soap and graffiti on Thursday, prompting vows from the U.S. government to find the perpetrator.

Pink spray paint graffiti that said "clean hands, dirty money" was found on the World War II Memorial, and U.S. Park Police launched an investigation.

The Interior Department on Thursday said vandals were responsible for bubbles filling the National World War II Memorial fountain on the National Mall. Interior Department spokesman Cody Sargent condemned the "disgusting vandalism from deranged losers."

The fountain sits close to the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool on the National Mall.
