Woman leaps from 11th floor of burning Berlin building into rescue basket 2 storeys below

Dramatic new video shows a woman jumping from the 11th floor of a high-rise and into a firefighter’s arms, as flames shoot out of an apartment window. NBC News’ Daniele Hamamdjian reports.

The firefighter was two floors below to be able to catch her fall.

The fire broke out at around 6.30am local time on Friday in Berlin's Friedrichshain neighbourhood, German news outlet dga reported.
