What We Know About Taylor Farms’ Food Recalls

Just weeks after the company recalled lettuce and other produce suspected of being tainted by the cyclosporiasis parasite, it recalled jalapeños linked to a salmonella outbreak.

Taylor Fresh Foods said it had not received any reports of illnesses associated with its recalled products.

Guacamole, pico de gallo and taco dip are some of the prepared foods included in the recall. The announcement comes a few weeks after Taylor Farms voluntarily recalled its iceberg lettuce products sourced from central Mexico because of a potential link to a multistate cyclospora outbreak.

The voluntary recall of jalapeños and prepared foods containing them — all sourced in Mexico — comes just weeks after the same company removed iceberg lettuce from the market due to cyclosporiasis.

Taylor Fresh Foods, parent company of Taylor Farms, is voluntarily recalling some products that include jalapenos because of worries about a possible salmonella contamination.

The products were sold at stores including Kroger, Stop & Shop, Target, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s and Walmart
