West Linn man, 46, found dead after reentering burning house to save dog

A 46-year-old man died in a house fire Thursday after reentering the family home to rescue a dog.

Calgary police announced Wednesday afternoon that they were resuming a ground search for a missing 11-year-old boy in an area near the Beaver Dam Business Park.

Calgary police say new information has prompted investigators to search an area in the northeast part of the city as they continue to try to locate 11-year-old Parker, who has been missing for nearly two weeks.
