Fast-spreading wildfires have decimated hundreds of homes and forced tens of thousands to evacuate in the Spokane, Washington, area. Spokane Mayor Lisa Brown called the situation the "worst natural disaster our region has faced."

Three wildfires in Spokane, WA have destroyed more than 700 structures and forced tens of thousands to flee to safety. NBC News’ Morgan Chesky reports from inside the fire zone.

A wildfire dubbed the Old Trails fire jumped the Spokane River on Saturday afternoon and crossed into the city, the Spokesman-Review newspaper reported.
