Former Miss South Africa contestant and Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 winner, Chidimma Adetshina, has accused South African authorities of treating her unfairly and targeting her amid a legal battle over her potential deportation and detention.

[Leadership] South Africans took to the streets in Cape Town on Wednesday, August 19, demanding that Nigerian beauty queen Chidimma Adetshina leave the country as her legal battle over her immigration status came before the Cape Town Regional Court.

Beauty queen Chidimma Adetshina, who is facing deportation from South Africa, has reiterated that she was born in the country and believes she has been "treated unfairly and targeted".

Chidimma Adetshina is challenging efforts to have her deported from South Africa, which she says is her home.
