The Imole Campaign Council has dismissed reports that Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, is planning to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing his recent visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a customary engagement following the conclusion of the state’s off-cycle election.

[Vanguard] Special Adviser and Spokesperson to Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, Olawale Rasheed, has said that the people of Osun State should not feel betrayed by Governor Adeleke's endorsement of President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid, insisting that the endorsement predates the governor's victory at the polls.

In a statement shared via his verified X handle, Mr Sani argued that the opposition’s expectation for Governor Adeleke to maintain a confrontational stance against the President is misplaced and overlooks the realities of Nigerian elections.
