US removes Syria's designation as State Sponsor of Terrorism

The State Department formally removed Syria from the US list of State Sponsors of Terrorism after the previously announced move underwent congressional review.

With Syria's removal, the last three nations designated by the U.S. as state sponsors of terrorism are Iran, Cuba and North Korea.
