Kevin Rideout, who was kidnapped outside his home in the capital last October, is now with US officials.

The release of Kevin Rideout, a 50-year-old pilot who was kidnapped in October in Niger’s capital, Niamey, has been a priority for the White House and the military’s Africa Command.

Rideout is on his way to the United States, the Times said, adding that he was in good health based on proof-of-life images that were provided to American officials in the past 48 hours.
