US military says American and Saudi forces struck sites used by Iran-backed militias in Iraq to carry out attacks

All Iranian missiles were successfully intercepted, U.S. Central Command said on social media.

Iran-backed militias in Iraq fired drones at oil facilities in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Region for the second day in a row, piling pressure on the kingdom, which is grappling with a maritime blockade limiting its crude oil shipments.

Iran is activating allied militias in Iraq to launch drones at Saudi Arabia and Kurdistan, while threatening Jordan, Syria, Israel and US forces.
