United Kingdom's Nigel Farage wins special election against trash can-themed opponent, Count Binface

Farage, one of Britain's leading Brexit campaigners, in a highly unusual move, did not turn up at the vote count in the southern English seaside resort of Clacton.

Major parties dismissed it as a stunt and declined to field candidates in the election demanded by Reform UK’s leader, who faces corruption accusations.
