Nonprofit organizations who provide counsel to unaccompanied minors says the federal government owes them millions of dollars.

About 100 organizations, including one in Oregon, that provide legal representation to vulnerable children have not been paid by the federal government since December.

Thousands of unaccompanied migrant children could lose legal representation as soon as Friday, advocates and immigration lawyers tell ABC News.

The termination of a federal contract that pays nonprofit organizations for providing legal assistance to immigrant children will affect 90 organizations nationwide.
