On Wednesday, German prosecutors said that Ukrainian national Vladimir Z. had been arrested in Pula, Croatia, over his alleged role in the 2022 Nord Stream pipeline explosions. Prosecutors accuse him of being part of a group led by former Ukrainian army officer Serhii K. that allegedly planted explosives on Nord Stream

Prosecutors say the objective of the alleged attack on the Nord Stream pipelines was to "permanently disrupt gas supplies" and to stop Russia from using the revenue to finance its war effort in Ukraine.
