Ukraine-Russia war latest: Putin passes law to seize retail warehouses if they face Ukrainian drone attack

Kyiv has increasingly targeted online retail logistics centres, accusing them of providing support to the Russian armed forces

We spoke to Sir Richard Shirreff, Nato’s former Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe about the Ukraine’s war with Russia, as Prime Minister Andy Burnham visited Kyiv to reiterate the UK’s commitment to support its ally against Putin.

The Russian government has drafted a support package for Wildberries and sellers whose goods were damaged or destroyed in Ukrainian strikes on its warehouses. The measures include tax and insurance-payment deferrals, installment plans for businesses whose losses exceed 5% of annual revenue, and a freeze on tax audits.

Ozon shares dropped 12.7% to 2,600 rubles after the Moscow Exchange’s main trading session opened. The exchange’s benchmark index fell to 2,092 points at the start of trading, down 2% from the previous session’s close.

The tech giant says it does not sell the devices in Russia, but they are widely available on resale markets. When purchased that way, they are virtually impossible to track.
