Ukraine Receives Bodies of 261 Fallen Soldiers From Russia

Ukraine has repatriated the bodies of 261 people who Russia claims were Ukrainian servicemen. Ukrainian authorities will conduct forensic examinations and identification procedures.

Russia and Ukraine have exchanged the bodies of fallen soldiers, according to Shamsail Saraliev, a deputy in the State Duma, the lower house of Russia’s parliament, and a representative of the parliamentary coordination group on ”SVO” affairs, who spoke to the Russian business news outlet RBC.

Russia and Ukraine swapped bodies of killed soldiers on Thursday, in one of the few areas of cooperation between the warring sides.
