Ukraine Is Far Ahead of the UK With Its Veterans’ Policy

Ukraine is not only out-innovating the UK on the battlefield but is also way ahead with its veterans’ policy. The Ministry of Veterans Affairs’ plans for the transition of their service personnel is far more comprehensive than anything the UK has experienced.

Successful transition to civilian life at the end of military service helps recruitment, overcomes the perception of being damaged and dumped, and investment pays dividends but we have not really got there yet. But the Ukrainians, in the middle of a brutal war recognise its importance and have outrun us.
