Uganda: Tooro Clarifies Start of Nine-Day Mourning for King Oyo

[Independent (Kampala)] Fort Portal, Uganda -- The official nine-day mourning period for the late Tooro King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV will begin only after his body arrives at Karuzika Palace, the Tooro Kingdom has clarified.

The king of Tooro, an enclave in western Uganda, died Thursday at age 34 after an illness. King Oyo was the world's youngest reigning monarch.

King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV of the Tooro Kingdom, in western Uganda, had been in “critical condition,” the kingdom’s prime minister said.
