UEFA is holding on to its threat of a World Cup boycott, despite apologies from FIFA and Gianni Infantino for plans to sell stakes of the tournament.

The governing body of football in Europe reiterated that it has lost confidence in the Fifa president.

"UEFA made it abundantly clear in its statement that it has lost confidence in Infantino’s presidency. That position holds," UEFA said.
