Aug 24 (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday lifted one court order blocking President Donald Trump's administration from implementing an executive order restricting the use of mail-in ballots ahead of the November midterm elections.

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of President Trump's executive order increasing election integrity relating to mail ballots on Monday, saying states suing over the order did so improperly.

The Supreme Court ruling comes as President Trump is amping up economic pressure on the Iranian regime. NBC News’ Garrett Haake reports.

Trump's executive order, issued in March, directed the Department of Homeland Security to compile and ​transmit to the states a list of US citizens eligible to vote in each state.
