U.S., Japan confirm coordinated yen intervention, signal readiness for more

Japan's Finance Ministry said Monday it conducted a coordinated yen-buying intervention with the U.S. Treasury on Friday.

The joint intervention is the ​first since ‌2011, when the two countries took coordinated action to weaken the yen in the aftermath of the earthquake in eastern Japan.
