U.S., Iran each dig in on Strait of Hormuz positions as their tenuous pact officially expires

President Donald Trump on Tuesday said the U.S. has no planned talks with Iran, and none were scheduled, as Iran's top negotiator said the Strait of Hormuz will remain shut until the U.S. meets the conditions of ‌an interim deal inked in June.

President Trump threatened to bomb Oman if it got in the way of efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile, the 60-day negotiation period between the U.S. and Iran expired Monday. CBS News national security analyst Aaron MacLean has more.
