Two killed, refinery on fire in Russia’s Krasnodar after drone attack

Ukraine hits Russia's Afipsky oil refinery and gas plant in latest attacks targeting energy infrastructure.

Ukrainian drones attacked Krasnodar Krai overnight on August 25, according to the region’s governor, Veniamin Kondratyev, who said the strike hit Seversky district.

In Ukraine, a Russian attack on the outskirts of the northeastern city of Kharkiv killed three people, an official said

"Attacks like these are nothing less than terrorist acts," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

Russia launched 135 drones at Ukraine overnight, with 107 intercepted or suppressed. Strikes damaged homes and civilian infrastructure in Sumy, where 6 were injured, while two women were killed and two people wounded in Kharkiv region.
