Tua Tagovailoa's inconsistent play in training camp and preseason has reportedly made the Atlanta Falcons' starting job Michael Penix Jr.'s to lose.

Michael Penix Jr. has officially been cleared for full practice, setting the stage for a heated Falcons quarterback battle with Tua Tagovailoa. With the season opener approaching, Atlanta’s race for QB1 is about to get serious.

Penix had been limited this offseason while recovering from the ACL injury he sustained last year.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski gave a positive update on Michael Penix Jr.'s potential playing status for the Falcons.

The third-year quarterback has finally been cleared for 11-on-11 work in practice beginning next week following his torn ACL last season.
