Aug 6 (Reuters) - US President Donald Trump signed two executive orders on Thursday in a new but narrower attempt to curtail birthright citizenship, once again challenging a provision of the US Constitution even though the Supreme Court rejected his previous effort.

Trump called the Supreme Court decision "very unfair," and said the new orders were an attempt to end birthright citizenship by other means.

Limiting birthright citizenship has been one of the top priorities in the Republican president's crackdown on immigration.

The executive orders ban birth tourism and expand the existing definition of people whose children are not eligible for US birthright citizenship.
