Trump says US-Iran talks continue, warns Tehran faces 'last chance'

The US president insisted negotiations were underway despite Tehran's denials, saying Iran had a final opportunity to reach an agreement on the Strait of Hormuz and its nuclear programme before facing what he called 'decapitation.'

"We're talking about the Strait, the opening of the Strait, having it open literally by tomorrow, completely open," Trump told reporters while speaking from the White House on Monday.

He added that “nothing gets through to Iran, unless we want it to, and nothing will get through, unless a deal, or total surrender, is accomplished.”

The US leader expects the talks to begin in the next day or two.
