Trump says Secret Service, U.S. military wanted him off Air Force One in Turkiye due to threat

Donald Trump said Tuesday that he slipped away from Air Force One after a recent summit in Turkiye because the Secret Service and military wanted him on a 'different plane' due to a threat.

He downplayed the risk to the people left on the plane and said the incident did not scare him.

The Washington Post reported Monday that an Iranian threat prompted a covert operation for the president to leave Turkey aboard a secret flight.
