Trump’s child migrant agency shared tips that led to 12,000 ICE arrests

Since the early 2000s, the ORR has been charged with housing unaccompanied migrant children arriving at the U.S.-Mexico border

Since January 2025, the Office of Refugee Resettlement has shared more than 460,000 "leads" with ICE about unaccompanied children, their sponsors and additional household members.

6-year-old girl spent more than half a year in a child migrant shelter while her mother, who was in the US, worked to get her out. Days later to their reunion, they were detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
