Tractor drivers could face criminal charges for taking highways during protests

Tractor drivers who take their vehicles onto highways could face enforcement action, including criminal prosecution, under the approach agreed by police, prosecutors and municipalities.

A 35-year-old Ontario man is facing impaired driving and assault charges following a single-vehicle crash on Highway 522. OPP say the driver became combative with paramedics, threatened emergency personnel and damaged ambulance equipment.
