Tony Romo apologizes after pleading no contest to OWI: "None of this is an excuse"

CBS NFL analyst and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has pleaded no contest to a charge of operating while intoxicated and has issued a statement apologizing for the actions that led to his July arrest. Romo was arrested July 23 following a traffic stop as he was driving south on Interstate 43 in Wisconsin.

The former NFL quarterback and CBS Sports commentator was arrested in July in Wisconsin.

CBS broadcaster Tony Romo pleaded no contest to OWI, he announced Tuesday in a statement. His driving privileges were revoked for six months.

The CBS NFL analyst, currently on leave from the network, said “I am working closely with a team of doctors to address my health.”
