TikTok says it won't appear at Oireachtas committee over car theft gang videos

TikTok has instead offered to meet the committee to give them a private briefing.

Alan Kelly, Chair of Oireachtas Media Committee said it was a “slap in the face to the Irish Public.”

Social media giant TikTok has declined an invitation to appear before the Oireachtas Committee on Media to discuss the posting of videos of people driving down motorways the wrong way and endangering other people's lives.
