Thrill-seeking influencers are being bitten by sharks in search of selfies

While shark bites on humans are very rare, a 2020 study at the University of Technology in Auckland noted an increase in trends such as the ‘wildlife selfie.'

Experts have warned never to touch or agitate sharks following a series of incidents in which social media influencers have been attacked by the marine creatures.

Cases of sharks biting humans are admittedly rare, but in the last year, at least three influencers have been attacked.
