Three people die as migrant boat tries to cross English Channel from Dunkirk

Three people died while trying to cross the English Channel on a “taxi-boat” for migrants near the French port of Dunkirk, the local administration in charge of the Channel and North Sea said on Thursday.

The Scottish Government just saw a warning shot fired that almost resulted in them being outflanked on progressive tax reform by the UK Government. That the shot wasn’t aimed over their own heads and that it missed its intended target should not detract from the warning it sent.

French officials said the people had died in two separate incidents off its coast overnight.
