Tanker struck in Hormuz, raising worries over escalation, as Trump vows to hit Iran 'hard'

Iran launched an attack on two American bases in Jordan on Monday in retaliation for the U.S. attack on its Larak Island.

Three "unknown projectiles" have struck a tanker in the Strait of Hormuz, a British maritime agency said Monday after a fresh flare-up in the US-Iran war.

"We will take retribution" against the US for striking Larak Island, a spokesperson for the IRGC told state broadcaster IRIB on Sunday evening, adding that Iran "will punish those responsible."
