An oil tanker was struck by a projectile in the Strait of Hormuz off the coast of Oman, causing damage but no casualties, the the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said early Tuesday.

Iran blacklisted 45 tankers that purportedly violated its protocols when transiting the Strait of Hormuz, threatening to fine the vessels or confiscate their cargo if they did so again.

All crew members were safe and accounted for, and no environmental impact was reported.
