Syria agrees to curb Russian oil imports

Syria has agreed to sharply reduce Russian oil imports during talks with the US on lifting its state sponsor of terrorism designation.

According to Reuters’ sources, Syria has told the United States it is willing to drastically cut Russian oil imports as part of talks on removing its remaining terrorism sanctions designation. The pledge comes as Damascus seeks to diversify its energy supply.
