Sydney Airport near miss 'could have been far more serious'

Australian Transport Safety Bureau's Chief Commissioner Angus Mitchell says pilots who avoided a near miss at Sydney Airport on Sunday morning "prevented what could have been far more serious".

Officials says both aircraft stopped abruptly and a cabin crew member aboard the A320 was injured

"Both aircraft were stopped abruptly," the transport safety bureau said in a statement.
