Sunken Nazi ships, woolly mammoth bones surface as Danube River’s water levels drop to record low

It’s a total ship show. Scores of sunken World War II ships — rusty old Nazi battleships among them — have suddenly surfaced in Europe’s Danube River as its water levels plunge to dangerous lows. The underwater treasures, which also include woolly mammoth bones, have emerged while a summer drought and heat wave scorche

In the middle of the river separating Serbia and Romania near the Serbian port of Prahovo, a rusty hull is now visible along with a broken mast where the Nazi flag used to fly.

The Danube River is at record-low levels throughout Europe, revealing some lost historical items. Meanwhile, Hungary's only nuclear power plant is on the brink of shutdown. CBS News' Ramy Inocencio has more.

There are believed to be about 200 Nazi ships on the floor of the Danube near Prahovo, Serbia. Ferries, tourist boats, and shipping have also become severely restricted due to the drought.
