Spotify hits 777m users as paid subscribers surge to 300m

Streaming giant Spotify said Tuesday that it had 777 million monthly active users at the end of June, 16 million more than in the previous quarter but a million fewer than forecast.

Notably, the company saw its subscriber base swell by 9% in the second quarter despite raising prices in several regions this year.

Spotify has 300 million Premium subscribers, according to the company's Q2 earnings report.

"We view the business as well positioned to deliver improved growth and margins in 2026 as we reinvest to support our long-term potential."
