SpaceX to build $100 billion Starship rocket complex in Louisiana

WASHINGTON, Aug 25 (Reuters) - SpaceX unveiled plans on Tuesday to build a Starship rocket launch complex in southern Louisiana, a $100 billion effort poised to transform coastal wetlands into a critical base for the company's AI satellite launch ambitions.

It would be the rocket company’s second private launch site after Starbase, its headquarters in South Texas.

SpaceX is committed to investing at least $100 billion and creating more than 3,000 new jobs at Starbase, Louisiana, the company said in a statement.
