South Korean parties agree on election commission probe

Rival parties agreed to appoint an independent counsel to investigate ballot shortages and extended a related parliamentary inquiry by 30 days.

The Central Election Commission has registered Yabloko’s party list for the election to the State Duma, the lower house of Russia’s parliament, scheduled for September 18–20.

Yabloko Chairman Nikolai Ryabkov said the decision gives Russians their first opportunity in five years “to vote for peace and freedom, offering a legal and safe way to advocate for a ceasefire agreement.”
