South Africa: Ethekwini Deploys Teams As Strong Winds Cause Power Outages

[SAnews.gov.za] The eThekwini Municipality's Recreation and Parks Directorate, working together with the City's Emergency Services, has deployed teams to attend to multiple incidents across the city following strong winds, which caused outages across the city.

South Africa's gazetted energy plan needs 14,500 km of new power lines and R2.2 trillion, about US$137 billion, of investment by 2039.
