Shake-up as Mahama reorganises National Security Council leadership

President John Dramani Mahama has approved a reorganisation of the National Security Council Secretariat, involving new appointments and reassignments of key officials. The changes, announced by the Presidency on Tuesday, August 11, are aimed at strengthening the operations of the National Security Council Secretariat.

Iran replaced its top security official with another Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps commander, a spokesman for Iranian Masoud Pezeshkian said.
