Ontario’s police watchdog is investigating an allegation of sexual assault against an Ottawa police officer while they were on duty earlier this year.

The city hired an outside law firm for the probe after Chief Axel Henry filed a formal complaint alleging inappropriate conduct toward city employees.

A 36-year-old woman from the Netherlands has accused her boyfriend's roommate — a software engineer — of misbehaving and sexually harassing her, following which a case was registered here, police said on Monday (July 27, 2026).The incident allegedly occurred in March this year, when the woman, a nurse, visited her boyf
