Security forces rescue 16 kidnap victims in Kogi State

The victims were rescued after troops engaged their abductors in a gun battle in Dekina Local Government Area.

[Vanguard] Troops of Sector 2, Operation Fansan Yamma, have rescued 18 kidnapped persons and arrested two suspected members of the Lakurawa terrorist group in separate counter-terrorism operations across Zamfara State.

Nigerian Army, in a joint operation with other security agencies, rescued 16 kidnapped victims in Kogi State. One hunter was killed during the rescue.
